Practising for the Baking exam & Mother's Day

Hello Dears,

I hope You all right, and didn't get any flu like me during these extremely hot days. I can only wonder how I managed to get this, when every other normal people enjoyed the sun, and they got tanned and I got a cold instead... :( 

Anyway I am recovering, I have some days off from my trainee program, so I am at home, reading books, and when I feel a little bit better I am baking of course. I have my first baking exam next week, with 5 types of pastries. 

Visiting the Ice cream Exhibition

Hello! 

Spring is finally here, that means ice cream season starts as well. :) 

And to start it in a glamorous way the biggest ice cream exhibition was held for 3 days in Budapest. 

As a confectioner trainee I felt it's my duty to be there.

(And let's face it who wouldn't have gone to taste the new ice cream creations of the year? :D )  So I visited it with my fiancé.

Our vacation at Lake Balaton

Hi Dears,

I was wondering how much You know about the Hungarian sea? :)

Here, I think most of us, from the little ones to the grandpas, and grandmas, everyone loves going to Lake Balaton for a week, or just some days, every summer. 

A summer without Balaton is like a wasted year, it's like a nonsense for the Hungarians. 

Of course if a family can afford going further, like to a real sea, to Italy or Croatia is another thing, but to go there by the motorway , it crosses the area of Lake Balaton as well, so they can have a rest there, too. :) 

This year we spent here just 3 days, but it was a real refreshment for us.

What do You think of evaluating years? 

I usually don't do things like that, but since I'm reading the new Bridget Jones -Christmas present from my Mom, thank You ♥- she does this every single day, and of course at the end of the year, she does a big summery. So let's see mine: 

For me 2013 was eventful.:

• finished last semester in University
• managed to participate in a 6-month-long trainee program in a 5-star-hotel
• wrote my diploma work
• moved in with my boyfriend♥
• had a holiday in Lake Balaton
• attended in a wedding celebration (first in my life)
• baked many-many sweets and goodies
• wrote this blog (greatest hobby, ever! :D )

So what about the blog's summery? I collected 13 different "MOST-ies",

Party-time, huh? :D But what a party! It's not an ordinary mask wearing party, but a traditional, an entertaining, and a lovely event! 

 I must tell about it, to You, You will love it! :)

During the 7-12 of February a magical festival is on, in the Hungarian town, Mohács...

Visiting the biggest Christmas fair in Budapest

I've visited the Christmas fair in Vörösmarty square last night. I was curious about it, I like visiting it every year, it always brings me the Christmas spirit, and this time wasn't an exception, either. So let's see what shall we find there this year! :)

This is the 14th time, that this fair is organised, so we can say, that this is quite a new custom here. Originally this came from Vienna, especially from queen Maria Teresa, who has the first Christmas tree in our country.  But every time it's worth going and looking this fair, the atmosphere is fantastic. :)

It's snowing!!!

Hello Dear Readers,

It's not actually a proper tour proposer, but it's a situation report (sitrep) from Hungary.
The reason for that: It's snowing!!! In october! Here! :D
Well, actually, in Budapest it was like raining, because everything became wet, the snow melted immediately, but most of the parts of Hungary have got a nice white covering. :)

Ce n'est pas vraiment recommandation de voyage, mais c'est un rapport de situation  de la Hongrie.
La raison à cela: Il neige! En octobre! Ici! : D
Eh bien, en fait, à Budapest, c'était comme pleut, parce que tout a été mouillé, la neige a fondu immédiatement, mais la plupart des parties de la Hongrie ont reçu une couverture belle blanc. :)
