Yogurt & Chocolate cake 2 in 1

Hi! :)
As I promised I brought the recipe of this yin-yang cake I baked last time!
To be honest, I haven't decided yet, if I like the result or not.
I wanted to make something different, than usual, something more interesting, and I think it worked. :)
Untill the yogurt solidified with the gelatin, I had placed a baking sheet in the middle to separate it from the chocolate part.
It needed a night to cool in the fridge.
I baked this for my father's, my brother's and for my birthdays, as we celebrated together. :)

3 cakes with one sponge

Hello Dears!
I hope You enjoyed the summer, to finish it nicely I brought not just one, but 3 cakes for You! :)

As for us, we had our late-summer vacation last week, for 4 days.
It was short but we filled it with very-many adventures. :)
It rained for two days, but we still could go sight-seeing, and to bathhouses, and we even took a little fairy train ride in the forest, so it was super joyful.

When we arrived back home, a birthday party was ahead of us, with 3 birthdays to celebrate, so I jumped in a baking project again.
As we hold it as a pic-nic party in the Margaret-island, I tried to prepare them to be easily take-aways
I used one main mixture, and as a last touch I flavored them differently. :)
Let's see how...

CheeseCake with Greengage jam

Hi! :)
Spring is nearly here, Yay! :D
I like the beautiful colors and the fragrances of spring, that's why I made something as sparkling and colorful as the season will be. (Hopefully soon :))

So, about this cake. This is my first ever Cheese Cake, in the mean of the American Cheese Cake.

I realised that there are some very differences in the dairy products in the two countries: there are no cream cheeses here in Hungary than in the US that they usually use for this. (If we do have, it must be in just a few and rare stores) However, it's hard to explain what we got instead. We have for example 'túró', which I usually call cottage cheese/curd/or quark.
But it's not the same, just similar.
Or we have "tejföl", which I call sour cream/cream fraiche, but we use these English words to explain more products in the same time, however these are different, and  has more words for them in Hungarian. Like "tejszín" is a different product, and possibly it is like heavy sour cream... ?

So, back to the cake, to create the American type of cheese, I used cottage cheese (túró) with plain cream cheese

And to decorate the top I used my self-made jam, that I made in the summer. :D

Plum Pie

Hi there!:)
How is it going? Here it's extremely cold. I know talking about weather is dull, but right now I'm sitting in front of my desk in 2 sweaters, big socks and gloves! In September, inside the house... Crazy...
I have just rescued my cats from the heavy wind from outside. Sweet ones, they are sleeping near me right now. :)

I baked this pie a week ago, when it was so shiny and warm that I could take this photo outside.
This was really tasty, my family ate the whole in 1 day. :D
I made it with the plums from our tree, so it was extra home-made . :) I would recommend it to You as well, You should try it, with any fruits You like. :)

Greengage Jam

Hello! :)
I have good news Everyone! (says always the professor in Futurama, Have You ever seen an episode? My friends and me loves it, it's so funny.)
But at  the moment this is my good news.

It's time for making a lot of jars of jams. :) And after that You can have cookies, donuts with delicious home made jams. And they are perfect as gifts as well. :)

These ones were made by yellow Greggages from the garden, they are like small yellow plums. I flavored it with a pinch of gingerbread spice.

Plum Jam

Hi Dears! :)
Do You have a garden? We do have, and there's a plum tree in it with lots of bushes and flowers. But that's the only tree with fruits. And these times we have more than enough plums , completely bio, so it was time for me to make some jar of jams. :)
I added some cinnamon to it, to enhance the flavor, and I should say that these are really tasty. If You have more fruits with You that You can eat by themselves, You should give it a try to make jam. You can do that in 30 minutes.
