Coffee & Marzipan Biscuits with chocolate on top

Hi! :)
Do You like biscuits?
This one I baked for our 4th anniversary for my boyfriend.
Usually I bake a cake, or cupcakes for these events, but this time I decided to bake heart shaped biscuits. I think they are cute enough for the occasion. :D
He likes coffee, I like marzipan, and we both adore chocolate, so this recipe needed to happen. :)
(I got roses from him, and also we decided to live together, so it was a big event. :) )
The biscuit got a lot of good complaints, so I can recommend this to You as well. :)
Ingredients:
  • 250 g = 1 cup of margarine
  • 200 g= 13 tbsp of sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • pinch of salt
  • 400 g = 1+ 3/4 cup of flour
  • 1 tbsp of baking powder
  • ----
  • 50 g= 1/5 cup of instant cappuchino
  • 3 tsp of instant coffee
  • 1 tsp of cocoa
  • ----
  • 100 g= 2/5 cup of marzipan
  • ----
  • 1 bar of dark chocolate
  • 1 tsp of oil
Preparation:
1. Mix the margarine with the sugar and the yolks.

2. Then add the flour , the pinch of salt and the baking powder as well.

3. Mix them, and separate the pastry to half-half, in 2 bowls.

4. Add the cappuccino, the coffee, and the cocoa to one of them.

5. Then, add the marzipan to the other half, and make some balls from the pastries.

6. Roll out one of them, on a floury wooden board.

7. Put in the middle of the pastry the other ball of pastry, and roll it as well.

8. Roll them together.

9. Cut some slices of it, and stretch them out.

10. With a heart shaped cutter cut out the hearts.

11. Put them on a baking sheet, and bake them around 15 minutes on 180 degree Celsius.

12. Melt the chocolate, add some oil as well, and lubricate the half of each biscuits.

You can store them in a box, if You would like to have it later on as well. :)

Enjoy! :)
