Somlói Galuska - Hungarian Trifle

This is a famous Hungarian delish dessert! The original recipe uses 3 different kinds of sponge cakes, and raisins that were steeped in rum before. My version is a little bit simpler, but the taste is gorgeous. :)
If you come here, You will find this dessert on every menus of the restaurants. But each serves it a little differently. The main thing among them, that it will contain some sponge cakes, chocolate cream , and whipped cream on the top. Do you need more? :)

Ingredients:
  • half of the Hungarian Sweet Bread (Kalács) , but You can use any kinds of sponge cakes
  • 1 package of chocolate pudding
  • 4,5 dl or 2 cups of milk
  • 3 tbsp of sugar
  • 2 tbsp of rum flavor
  • a bar of dark chocolate
  • whipped cream
  • icing sugar (to the whipped cream, as You like)
  • wafer stick (optional)

Preparations:
1. Slice up your sponge cake, and tear them to smaller pieces, and put a little from them to little bowls. (One bowl will be the portion for one person).

2. Mix the pudding powder with the sugar and the milk, then the rum flavor, and boil the pudding while You stir it, without stopping.

3. When the pudding is ready, spoon a little onto the sponge bites.

4. Then put another sponge layer to them.

5. Then again pour a little pudding on the top.

6. Melt a bar of dark chocolate (in the microwave oven 2-3 minutes on 350W) and spill a bit onto the desserts.

7. Whip the whipped cream on medium speed (if it's without sugar, then add 2 tbsp of icing sugar to it before.)

8. Add some cream on the top.

9. Decorate them with the rest of the melted chocolate, and with some wafer sticks.

Enjoy! :)
