Carnival Doughnuts

Hello Sweethearts! :) Spring came at last! :D YAY!!! :D

But if You haven't celebrated enough the end of winter , this dessert is the most popular dessert these times. Carnival Donuts. And some of them has the famous light ribbon on the side! :D

Ingredients:

  • 700 g = 3 cups of flour
  • 35 g = 2,5 tbsp of yeast
  • 2 dl = 0.8 cups of milk (or water)
  • 4 tbsp of sugar
  • 4 yolks
  • 2 tbsp of rum flavor
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 orange peel (rasped)
  • 80 g = 0.3 cup of margarine

  • oil (half bottle)
  • icing sugar
  • jam, peanut butter for filling

Preparation:
1. Activate the yeast in a little warm milk, and a teaspoon of sugar.
2. Then mix all the ingredients in the upper column, with the activated yeast.

3. Make a ball of the pastry.

4. Cover it with a cloth, and leave it in a warm place for half an hour.

5. Then roll it out, and cut out circles.

6. Push some hollows in the middle of them, but don't make a hole. (You can, actually, if you don't want to fill them.)

7. Heat a lot of oil in a pan.
8. Put some donuts in that up.side down, and bake them for about 1 minute, then turn them up, and bake them for half a minute.

9. Place the donuts on a napkin.

10. Sprinkle them with icing sugar.

11. Finally fill them with jam, or peanut butter.

Bon appetite!

  2. I have found a way to copy. Oh thank you. This is wonderful. I will try to do as good as you. Our weather right now is just too hot in California, but when Winter comes, oh boy I will enjoy making these. Thank you so much.
