Merry Christmas Dears,
I hope You are feeling wonderful, and had a special Christmas this year.
We just had our 3rd big Christmas Lunch... (It's definitely not the time for starting a diet... :D )
As I mentioned before, this year, nearly all of my family members got a plate of decorated Christmas cookies from me. Here I will show the steps of the preparations...
Ingredients:
- 300 g of flour (1 + 1/5 cup)
- 200 g of margarine (4/5 cup)
- 100 g of sugar (2/5 cup)
- 2 egg yolks
- orange flavor
- cinnamon
- ----
- 2 egg whites
- 500 g = 2 cups of icing sugar
- food coloring
Preparation:
1. Knead together the margarine with the flour, then add the sugar, the egg yolks, the orange flavor, and some cinnamon. Mix them together, and make a dough ball.
2. Roll it out, and cut out the forms.
3. Place them on a baking paper on a baking tray.
4. Bake them for about 12 minutes on 180 degree C.
5. When they are ready you can store them in a cookie box, or decorate instantly.
6. For the decoration You will need to mix egg whites with icing sugar. You will need two kinds of consistencies, a thick one for the edges, to hold the other kind, the wet consistency.
7. Separate the icing to a few bowls. Color them with food coloring. Then spoon it to decorating bags, and draw the edges of the cookies with the thick icing.
8. Then fill them with the wet icing.
