Little pies

Hi Dears,
I brought a new recipe for pies, and great personal news!
I am the chosen cook of the week on the biggest Hungarian recipe sharing site - at Nosalty.hu! Yay! A whole article is about me, with my cakes... http://www.nosalty.hu/ajanlo/het-szakacsa-habcsok-mezi

But this recipe of the pies is only Yours, it's not on that site, yet. :D
I baked them in muffin trays, but You can bake it in one big tart form, if you prefer those. I used fresh fruits for the filling, and the result was really tasty.
Ingredients:
  • for the dough
    • 450 g = 1 + 4/5 cup of flour
    • 300 g butter = 1 +1/5 cup
    • 150 g icing sugar = 3/5 cup
    • 2 egg yolks
    • 2 tbsp of vanilla sugar
    • ground candied orange peel
    • 50 g = 1/5 cup of ground peanuts
  • for the filling
    • 3 apples cut into pieces
    • 1 package of vanilla pudding powder
    • 3 tbsp of sugar
    • 3 dl of milk
    • 1 tsp of cinnamon
    • --------------
    • 100 g of sour cherries
    • 1 package of vanilla pudding powder
    • 3 tbsp of sugar
Preparations:
1. Mix the butter with the flour, then add all the other ingredients of the dough, and knead them together well.

2. Place muffin liners to 2 muffin trays (I had altogether 28 pieces)
These paper-muffin liners will give a nice pattern for the sides of the pies.
3. Make little dough balls, then make flat sheet circles from them, and push them into the muffin molds to create a basket form. Save some dough for later to decorate the top of the pies.

4. Pierce them with a fork, it will preserve the dough from coming up and making air bubbles.

5. Preheat the oven to 190 degree C.
6. Bake them for about 15 minutes.
7. Cut the apples to little cubes, pour the 3/4 part of the milk on it, and boil them.

8. Mix the rest of the milk with the sugar and the vanilla pudding powder, cinnamon,
then mix it with the boiled mixture and cook them until the mixture becomes thick.
9. Do the same with the cherries, but now the use the juice of the cherries instead of the milk.

10. Fill the pies, and decorate the top with the rest of the dough and bake them again for 10 minutes. (If you have the function for baking only from the top, than use that)

I hope You like them as well. :)

xoxo: Hajni
